5.0 out of 5 stars, Ideal present for my nephew!
I bought 'Bamse' for my young nephew who was captivated by the story and the wonderful illustrations that really bring Bamse and his adventures to life. The whole book just oozes quality because the pages are printed on thick, glossy paper, and I love that the kids can open the book up flat without it coming apart at the spine, something that has been a real problem with other books I’ve bought in the past. It means my nephew can read it along with his cousins and friends, and they have all been able to get really involved with the story.

He's doing World War 2 at school, which can be a difficult topic to discuss with youngsters, but this is a really nice warm story with a happy ending set against the terrible backdrop of war. It's made a real impression on him as he now wants a St. Bernard of his own – over to my sister to handle that one!

5.0 out of 5 stars, Good story based in reality, told through word and illustration.
I read this book with delight. It was like returning to the books of my childhood, engaging, easy to read, and the illustrations are delightful.
As a child, each christmas and birthday I could not await to see what books I would get. As a dyslexic, I never really wanted to read, but books like this, gave a balance between illustration and text that encouraged and developed my reading. It is amazing that well illustrated book can encourage those with reading difficulties to go on and be successful adults.

Hat's off to you Anna for authoring sensible, engaging books. There are way to many silly tomes and TV programs, that for me would have turned me off reading even further.

5.0 out of 5 stars, "Bamse came too"
A well written and illustrated book. My 6 year old son was captured by his journey which has more fact than we realised. We ended up googling Bamse and found out that theres a lot more to this dog.

Bamse - A Children's Picture Book
The new book “Bamse Came Too” costs just £5.99 and is published by Bamse Features Ltd, ISBN 978-0-9930783-0-9

It’s published in paperback form, but in heavyweight glossy paper which makes it look rather like a “coffee table” book than a children’s picture book. The book is very attractively produced, and taken with the great story of a St Bernard dog that has a series of wonderful and exciting adventures sailing from Norway to Scotland with the Norwegian navy in 1940, this picture book will have children fascinated by the coloured drawings and the story line. Richard Maby’s fine illustrations simply bring the book to life.
